Sue's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Sue Miller's chocolate chip cookie recipe.

If you're lucky, there might be a cookie or two sitting in the office when you come pick up your vehicle.  If they're gone, you can make them at home (recipe below.)

Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 1/4 cup all purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1 cup Crisco Butter

3/4 cup granulated sugar

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 large eggs

2 cup (12oz pkg) Toll House Semi-Sweet chocolate chips

1 cup chopped nuts (optional, but Sue never uses them!)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl.  Beat the butter, both sugars and vanilla in a large mixing bowl until creamy.  Add eggs one at a time and beat them into the mix.  Add the flour mixture, then stir in the morsels and nuts.  Drop by rounded tablespoons onto an UNgreased baking sheet.

Bake for 9 - 11 minutes or until golden brown.

Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; move wire racks to cool completely.

Makes about 5 dozen.

Enjoy!
